This free annual event brings together experts, organisations and communities to discuss some of the key challenges facing our rivers, streams and natural water resources, and what can be done to protect them.
This year’s programme will cover development, infrastructure and water quality; water pollution and accountability; flood risks and mitigation; and the role of catchment partnerships, agriculture and nature recovery. Each session will include expert speakers followed by a panel Q&A, giving attendees the opportunity to hear different perspectives and ask questions.
Residents can attend the talks and panel discussions during the day, or drop into the Gallery at the Corn Exchange between 10am and 5pm to visit information stalls and speak to organisations working on waterways and the environment.
Further information, including the full programme, can be found here: https://waterways-day.eventbrite.co.uk/
We hope you can join us and thank you in advance for helping us spread the word within your communities.
Kind regards,
WODC Communications Team
